Director of Construction Job Description

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Construction to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for our project portfolio, aligning with our corporate strategic vision.
  • Lead and motivate construction teams to achieve company key performance indicators.
  • Represent the company during client meetings and presentations, promoting our brand and values.
  • Oversee the construction process, ensuring effective management of approved budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the development team to provide accurate budget, cost, and schedule updates throughout the life of the projects.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the site management team to ensure business needs are met.
  • Provide mentorship and continue to grow the team.
  • Manage performance expectations and conduct performance evaluations of direct reports.
  • Support the development of team members and actively contribute to succession planning.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of senior project management experience in the construction industry.
  • College diploma or university degree in a related field, PMP certification an asset.
  • Sound understanding of contractual and financial functions on projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, industry practices, estimating/budgeting, scheduling, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to lead and motivate construction teams.
  • Ability to resolve project disputes.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project.
Remuneration:
  • $220,000 - $250,000+ base pay.
  • Performance-based bonus programs.
