In this role, you will play a vital part in the healthcare process by facilitating laboratory testing services that assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and gather necessary information, ensuring they understand the specimen collection process and adhere to required protocols.
  • Conduct phlebotomies, connect and disconnect Holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
  • Execute specialized test collections, including medical/legal drug screenings and paternity tests, while completing all necessary documentation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by addressing inquiries and following up on requests.
  • Accurately enter patient demographics and requisition information into the system.
  • Prepare specimens for transportation and subsequent testing.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to connect with patients and clients even in challenging situations. Essential qualities include empathy, adaptability, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Experience in phlebotomy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
