Aon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mining Account Executive to join our team. As a key member of our mining industry practice, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our multinational mining clients, providing expert advice on risk management and insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain specific knowledge of our mining clients' operations and risk exposures.
  • Identify client and prospect needs and develop innovative solutions.
  • Stewardship and servicing of existing client programs, defining risk exposures and providing expert advice.
  • Coordinating the 120-day Renewal Process, including preparing the renewal report and presenting to clients.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of Aon resources to deliver the best solutions to clients.
  • Ensuring expected standards of service are delivered to clients, resolving issues and concerns in partnership with the service team.
  • Analyzing clients' contracts, identifying potential issues with respect to indemnities and insurance requirements.
  • Participating in management and advocacy of large claims handling.
  • Receiving policy contracts from the Broking Team, ensuring client needs have been met to favorable standards.
  • Developing new client contacts and advancing relationships with mining prospects.
  • Producing new business and assisting in the development of sales and marketing strategy.
  • Developing comprehensive annual and quarterly new business sales and development plans.
  • Providing leadership for development and delivery of insurance and industry-related presentations/seminars.

Operational Excellence:

  • Introducing the service team to clients as their day-to-day point of contact for ongoing service needs.
  • In conjunction with the service team, establishing client service plans.
  • Assuming accountability for the day-to-day service quality provided to clients.

Talent Management:

  • Coordinating the efforts of technical and support staff to service clients efficiently.
  • Ongoing mentorship of junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial insurance experience.
  • Level 2 insurance license (BC) required or working towards.
  • CIP, FCIP, and CRM is preferable, completed or working towards.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize concurrent deliverables.
