Job Summary:

The Intermediate Process Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing process systems for multi-discipline projects. This role will involve working on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Process Engineer in coordinating and communicating project-related issues.
  • Execute feasibility studies, conceptual design, process studies, and detailed engineering design.
  • Develop and maintain process simulations and models using PipeSIM.
  • Prepare and review key design documents, including material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and shutdown keys.
  • Conduct line sizing, PSV sizing, and equipment process data sheet preparation.
  • Assume responsibility for process troubleshooting, optimization, and variability reduction through SPC and process improvement.
  • Provide process training, WHMIS training, and new process start-up assistance.
  • Monitor and reduce chemical usage, water consumption, and environmental impact.

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or equivalent certification.
  • Chemical Engineering degree with EPCM experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of oil and gas experience in an EPCM environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with technical specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sweet and sour gas project experience in an EPCM environment.
  • Broad exposure to heavy oil or sweet and sour gas facility design and construction.
  • Proficiency with HYSYS and related simulation software.
