Job Title: Senior Technician - Security

As a Senior Technician - Security with Paladin Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of electronic security systems. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing, understanding, and implementing installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and service electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
  • Pre-wire, install, program, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain security systems.
  • Prepare and execute Acceptance Testing Plans that meet contract, client, and future service needs.
  • Assist in system design and layout.
  • Provide customer training for proper system usage and respond to technical inquiries.
  • Build relationships with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
  • Perform administrative duties, including project updates to Project Managers and completing and filing all project documentation.
  • Mentor, coach, and train other technicians.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Be available for on-call duties and work night shifts as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Vendor certification in low-voltage systems is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Ability to use hand and specialty tools associated with the industry.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs consistently.
  • Capable of prolonged standing and walking.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Genetec certification.
