About the Role

Auralarm Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
  • System Testing: Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults and analyze test results to adjust, change, or repair switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software.
  • Documentation: Complete and maintain test and service reports.
  • Troubleshooting: Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble and initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and repair.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
