Position Overview
The Administrative Office Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the administrative functions within the Sleep Disorder Centre. Reporting to the management team, this position is responsible for overseeing quality assurance in office and clerical tasks, collaborating with management to establish and enforce policies and procedures, and providing guidance and support to office personnel.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a dynamic clinic setting is essential.
- Preferred two (2) years in a supervisory or senior role.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records is mandatory.
Educational Qualifications
- Completion of high school education as per Manitoba standards is required.
- Successful completion of a recognized medical secretarial training program is necessary.
- A combination of relevant education and experience may be taken into account.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training must align with employer policies.
Skills and Competencies
- Typing proficiency of at least 65 words per minute.
- Proven experience in a Windows operating environment, including database management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and diplomacy while coordinating workflow and enhancing efficiencies.
- Strong planning, organizational, project management, and time management skills are required.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Alignment with the Centre's core values, vision, and quality improvement goals is expected.
- Able to manage a diverse range of patient interactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to handle stressful situations effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing education and participation in professional development activities.
Physical Requirements
- Must possess the physical health necessary to fulfill the job requirements.
- Considerable repetitive wrist movement is involved.
This position necessitates a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, as well as checks for Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registries. The successful candidate will bear any associated service charges. A security check is deemed current if obtained within six (6) months prior to employment commencement.
