We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Services Coordinator to join our team at Island Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with mental health and substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, treatment, and support to clients with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to connect with clients in the community.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and substance use issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and services.
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or a practicing RPN registrant.
  • Recognized post-basic education related to psychiatric nursing, substance use, harm reduction, and/or mental illness.
  • Two years recent related experience.
  • Ability to work with seriously addicted and mentally ill clients and their families.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve problems.
