Teaching Opportunity at Brock University

Brock University is seeking a qualified instructor to teach a course on Childhood, Art, and Aesthetic Expression. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Child and Youth Studies or a related field and experience in teaching critical approaches to aesthetics, culture, and theory.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses on childhood arts, including film, literature, sound/music, and visual arts
  • Develop and implement curriculum that promotes critical thinking and creativity
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
Qualifications
  • PhD in Child and Youth Studies or related field
  • Experience in teaching critical approaches to aesthetics, culture, and theory
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of childhood arts
Compensation

The successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $7 per half course and $14 per full course, effective September 1.

Please note that instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
