About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Mechanic to join our team at GTA Skilled Trades. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on packaging machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
    • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Installation and Setup
    • Install and set up new packaging equipment, ensuring proper configuration and calibration.
    • Train operators on new equipment and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Conduct regular quality checks on packaging equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and procedures.
    • Identify and report any potential hazards or risks.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic security clearance and bondability.
    • Valid driver's license.
