About the Role

GTA Skilled Trades is seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Mechanic to join our team. As a Packaging Machine Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair packaging machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with packaging machinery to identify and resolve problems.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure packaging machinery is functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to other team members on packaging machinery operations and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in packaging machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, team player, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
