Job Summary:

Northern Lights College is seeking a Relief Cafeteria Cook to provide services to our campus. The successful candidate will work independently, preparing and cooking a variety of meals, and assisting with menu planning and catered events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including short order cooking, food preparation, and baking.
  • Assist with menu planning and catered events on campus.
  • Ensure that Food Safe regulations are practiced.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and the public.

Requirements:

  • Professional Cook Training, Level 3 preferred.
  • Valid and current Food Safe certification.
  • Experience with short order cooking, nutritious meal and snack preparation, and baking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience incorporating locally or regionally sourced ingredients is desired.

Working Conditions:

The Relief Cafeteria Cook will work on a relief basis, providing services as needed. The position will involve working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on providing high-quality food and excellent customer service.
