Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at Sandhar Trucking Ltd. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
  • Picking and Stocking: Pick orders and stock goods in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Weighing and Labeling: Weigh materials and goods, and make labels to attach to goods.
  • Packing and Unpacking: Pack and unpack goods, and ensure they are properly stored and secured.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, and ensure that all goods are properly labeled and stored.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Will train, and previous experience is not necessary.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Language Training: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including language training.
  • Credential Recognition: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Working Conditions: 40 hours per week, permanent position.
