Job Summary:

The Après Shift Leader is a key role at Westwood Plateau, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and leading the restaurant team during operational hours. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering above-and-beyond service, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the restaurant team, ensuring seamless service delivery and high-quality food and beverage offerings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty, resulting in repeat business and positive reviews.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve sales goals, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide training and coaching to restaurant staff, focusing on excellent customer service, food safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Ringing in event tabs and managing point-of-sale transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Serving It Right certification is mandatory, and Food Safe certification is an asset.
  • Previous experience in restaurant supervision and service, preferably in a hotel and/or restaurant setting.
  • Cocktail mixing knowledge, including background on proper ingredients and glasses used.
  • Product knowledge, including beer, wine, and liquor, is an asset.
