Job Title: Registered Nurse-TPT(.5)-3B Surgical

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the 3B Surgical department at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the 3B Surgical department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of nursing.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Recent experience in surgical nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in wound care or other specialized areas of nursing.
  • Recent continuing education in surgical nursing or related fields.
