About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current certification in BCLS
  • Recent experience in surgical nursing with knowledge of TPN, Neuraxial Analgesia, and Patient Controlled Analgesia
  • Ability to use the Nursing Process to deliver individualized care
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Surgical Nursing or Wound Care
  • Recent continuing education in surgical nursing
