We are seeking an experienced Associate R&D Manager to lead a team of R&D System Engineers in the design and development of Medical Capital Equipment programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring program objectives are met, logistics are effectively coordinated, and budgets are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a high-performing team of R&D System Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to support product development and sustaining activities, including the development and sustaining of electrical medical equipment.
- Monitor daily work operations and provide direction and guidance to staff to achieve project goals.
- Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential.
- Interact with customers, meeting regularly, responding to requests, and providing project updates.
- Engage in cross-functional, cross-site, and cross-team strategic discussions to drive results and efficiently execute activities.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures, including FDA, BSI, and EEO regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- 6+ years of relevant work experience, including experience as a Mentor and/or Coach.
- Detailed understanding of design control process per ISO 13485, 14971, and IEC 62366.
- Superior communication skills and strong leadership skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 10-15%.
- Bachelor's and/or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Familiarity with ISO 60601 and 62304.
- Experience as a Manager and/or Systems Engineer.
