PCL Construction is seeking a talented Surveying Student to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As a Surveying Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities
  • Assist in day-to-day layout and grading tasks
  • Help monitor quality control in compliance with contract documents
  • Participate in creating and maintaining survey models
  • Understand coordinate systems, scale factors, and design requirements
  • Assist in creating survey notes and recording field data
Qualifications
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment
  • Understanding basic surveying principles with a practical approach
  • Familiar with construction plans such as structural, architectural, and shop drawings
  • Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting
  • Student must be in a recognized drafting, architectural, engineering, or construction management program
  • Experience with operating total stations and survey equipment/GPS for layout and as-built purposes
