Position Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Estimator within our BC Buildings Group, the Intermediate Estimator will play a crucial role in managing complex project pursuits, defining project scopes, accurately quantifying costs, and adhering to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed estimate quantification and costing for general conditions, labor, and equipment, including productivity metrics, materials, and subcontractor estimates.
  • Lead or participate in the bid closing process for various projects.
  • Develop comprehensive scopes of work for subcontractors to assist in budgeting for medium-sized projects.
  • Select and invite financially viable trade partners with sufficient manpower and expertise to tender for the work.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders that align with Graham's core values.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant post-secondary program.
  • A minimum of 4 years of combined field and estimating experience; experience in design-build projects and familiarity with various procurement methods is advantageous.
  • Specific experience in estimating construction projects related to buildings.
  • Proficiency in using the Graham software suite, MS Excel, scheduling software (preferably Primavera), quantification software (such as OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Agtek), and BIM modeling is beneficial.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, trades, and team members.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary range: $100,400 - $138,100
  • Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
