Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on non-technical facility components, including walls, floors, and other systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility components, including troubleshooting and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Comply with established processes and practices, as well as internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection regulations.
  • Respond to routine service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Operate facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems, and manage work order life cycles from dispatch to completion.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and ensure that deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 3 years of facility operations and maintenance work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance, as well as ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair non-technical facility components.
  • Strong client-service orientation, effective communication skills, and ability to work in a safe manner.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and information.
  • Self-motivated, computer literate, and able to work shifts, be available for on-call/stand-by, and emergency call outs as needed.
