Job Summary

Lakeridge Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our respiratory services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting diagnostic testing, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen concentrators.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care practices and technologies through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario.
  • Current B.C.L.S. and Ontario Heart Foundation Standards certification.
  • Proven problem-solving and teaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous clinical experience in respiratory care, an asset.
