About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Member Services Representative to join our team at Meridian. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting our products and services to meet the financial needs of our Members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member Experience
    • Provide personalized service to Members, identifying and promoting products and services that meet their financial needs.
    • Demonstrate empathy and understanding in difficult situations, creating action plans to resolve Member concerns.
    • Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions.
    • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive Member information.
    • Participate in branch activities to expand Member relationships and grow our Digital Ambassador Program.
  • Employee Experience
    • Act as an engaged teammate and trusted partner, building and cultivating internal relationships to achieve Retail Experience goals.
    • Demonstrate empathy and open communication with colleagues, promoting inclusivity and a sense of belonging.
    • Continuously learn and develop skills to align with Meridian values, delivering on action plans aligned with Employee Engagement results.
  • Community Experience
    • Promote Meridian in the community through participation in events and activities, demonstrating our values.
    • Support local community organizations and activities through Business Development and Good Neighbour Program initiatives.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, with cash handling experience an asset.
  • High School diploma or relevant working experience.
  • Flexibility to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
  • Proven understanding of computer systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
