Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Bright Star Montessori School Inc.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves assisting with daily tasks, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and engaging children in activities that foster their growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs and activities that promote child development
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Provide care and support to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding
  • Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations on children
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Criminal record check and immunization records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

The ECE Assistant will work in a child care centre environment, which can be noisy at times. The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
