About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Norsat International Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the transfer of new products from development to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the transfer of designed products to manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration with our production processes.
  • Review and update production procedures to ensure accuracy and improved efficiency, driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct first article inspections for new components and provide feedback to the Engineering team to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Initiate engineering change orders and collaborate with the Engineering team to update designs and improve product performance.
  • Work closely with Production Technicians to troubleshoot component failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance our products and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Technology.
  • 3 years of experience with high frequency/RF testing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with production systems, including MRP and ECOs, and exposure to ISO 90001 manufacturing standards.
  • Understanding and experience in Lean Manufacturing is an asset.
