This role is essential for facilitating support and advocacy for individuals navigating the Citizenship application process. The Citizenship Liaison Officer will serve as a primary contact for citizens, ensuring they receive comprehensive assistance throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to inquiries from citizens and potential applicants regarding the Citizenship process;
  2. Provide guidance on application procedures, genealogical inquiries, and related initiatives;
  3. Manage the distribution, receipt, and processing of application forms;
  4. Verify that all necessary signatures are obtained;
  5. Coordinate with the Central Registry Office for the processing of Citizenship cards;
  6. Maintain accurate data entry in the electronic citizenship database;
  7. Perform clerical tasks associated with the role.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered;
  2. At least 2 years of experience in administrative roles or related fields;
  3. Strong administrative skills with an emphasis on document management and effective communication;
  4. Ability to engage effectively in both individual and group settings;
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
  6. Experience in non-profit organizations and familiarity with Indigenous communities is advantageous;
  7. Understanding of Indigenous culture and community programs is a significant asset;
  8. Willingness to travel, possessing a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
