Technical Expert, Engineering - Avionics and Electrical Systems

Job Summary

AAA Canada is seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert, Engineering - Avionics and Electrical Systems to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for resolving complex system issues related to avionics, electrical, fuel, pneumatic, and hydromechanical systems on the Global 5500/6500/7500 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operations, Methods, Quality, and Flight Operations teams to resolve system issues during completions activities, ground runs, flight testing, and delivery to end customers.
  • Provide troubleshooting procedures and disposition nonconformance reports related to aircraft systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to system requirements while minimizing downtime.
  • Work with Final Assembly Line, Integration, and Supplier Engineering teams to resolve broader issues.
  • Act as the first point of contact for any system engineering issue in production.
  • Work on day shift, with occasional alternate shifts to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering, plus a minimum of five years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB), dispositioning nonconformances, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of specification, design, integration, test, and certification of aircraft systems.
  • Understanding of how aircraft systems integrate and interact with the overall aircraft.
  • Experience with the Global 7500 and/or Global Express/5000/5500/6000/6500 aircraft.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English, with French being a significant asset.
