Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers and technicians. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supervising, empowering, and developing a team of salaried engineers and technicians.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering degree and/or a relevant technical degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aerospace. You will have experience with aircraft structures, system installation, interior completions, and/or manufacturing operations.

Excellent problem-solving skills and good oral and written communication skills in French and in English are essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise, empower, and develop a team of salaried engineers and technicians.
  2. Manage priorities and handle escalations.
  3. Work closely with Production, Methods, Quality and Flight Operations leaders as well as other Engineering groups to resolve issues rapidly and effectively during completion activities, ground runs, flight testing, and delivery to end customer.
  4. Ensure first-time right quality and high productivity levels.
  5. Drive continuous improvement through the Bombardier Operational Excellence system.
  6. Provide visibility on execution, issues, and escalations, as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Engineering degree and/or a relevant technical degree.
  2. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aerospace.
  3. Experience with aircraft structures, system installation, interior completions, and/or manufacturing operations.
  4. Knowledgeable in nonconformity management and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  5. Experience supervising or leading a team.
  6. Positive leader who cares about team and program success.
  7. Team player with can-do attitude.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and good oral and written communication skills in French and in English.
