Afterhours Social Service Worker Open Until Filled

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced After Hours Social Services Worker to provide emergency services for Child and Family Services in the Parkland area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide after hours emergency services, including intake and assessment, to ensure the safety and security of individuals in need of protection.
- Investigate reports of child abuse and neglect, and take appropriate action to ensure the well-being of children and families.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address crisis situations and promote positive outcomes for children and families.
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response to child welfare concerns.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions and interventions, and provide regular reports to the After Hours Supervisor.
- Post-secondary degree in Social Science or related field.
- Experience in crisis intervention, case management, and social services.
- Knowledge of family dynamics, child development, and child welfare legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to children and families.
This is a home-based position, with the requirement to respond to calls immediately and have access to a vehicle for travel. The work schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts shared on a rotational basis.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check, as well as a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
