Job Title: Vocational Instructor - Traditional Chinese Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vocational Instructor to join our team at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a Vocational Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students in practical shop work sessions, supervising students and teaching assistants, and preparing teaching materials and outlines for courses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students in work sessions and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Supervise teaching assistants and ensure they are adequately trained and equipped to support students
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, presentations, and laboratory, shop, and field studies
  • Prepare and administer tests and papers to evaluate students' progress
  • Prepare reports and provide feedback to students and faculty members
  • May serve on faculty committees to discuss matters such as budgets, curriculum revision, staffing, and course and diploma requirements
  • Conduct course and program evaluation or review
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in teaching and supervising students in a vocational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Computer and technology skills, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Adobe Photoshop
Working Conditions:
