About the Role

AbleIT Inc. is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer to join our team in Calgary. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to approximately 150 users and managing around 200 computers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support to ensure seamless IT operations and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and optimize network infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and scalability across all systems.
  • Manage and support MS365 and MS Online Storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration and usage across the company.
  • Oversee on-site storage solutions, ensuring they meet the company's needs and scale as required.
  • Collaborate with the remote helpdesk team to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and system performance.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and management of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they are equipped to use the company's IT systems effectively.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a network support role, preferably in a mid-sized business environment.
  • Proficiency in MS365 and MS Online Storage, with hands-on experience in administration and support.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and on-site storage solutions.
  • Experience with remote support tools and collaboration with off-site teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • A proactive and organized approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, etc.) are an asset.
