As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing accurate cost estimates for building projects. Your expertise in reading blueprints and understanding construction plans will be essential in ensuring project success.
Responsibilities- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and computer-aided drawings to determine material requirements and provide comprehensive cost estimates to customers.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the tendering process, providing detailed quantities, pricing information, and product recommendations.
- Maintain a vendor reference database to track material availability, unit costs, lead times, and research alternative vendors for specialized goods.
- Develop and nurture relationships with industry professionals, including contractors, architects, engineers, building inspectors, draftspersons, designers, material vendors, tradespeople, and local home builder associations.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide on-site support.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving abstract.
