We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Facility Operations Specialist to join our team at Colas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our asphalt plant systems.
Main Responsibilities- Operate Plant Automation: You will be responsible for operating and maintaining our plant automation systems, including dispatching duties and documenting plant inventory transfers, production orders, and truck transfers.
- Inventory Management: You will be responsible for conducting inventory counts, including tank fluid levels, and ensuring that our inventory is accurately recorded and managed.
- Equipment Operation: You will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pumps, and piping systems, and ensuring that they are properly maintained and serviced.
- Site Clean-up: You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including emptying pails, spill cleanup, and cleaning equipment.
- Assist with Plant Maintenance: You will be responsible for assisting with plant maintenance and improvement, including troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Strong Work Ethic: You must have a strong work ethic and be able to work effectively under pressure, being responsible, resourceful, and autonomous.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills in English, with a strong interpersonal attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate level, with strong organizational skills.
