Position: 2D Game Artist - Gacha-Style Mobile Games

Role Summary:

As a 2D Game Artist, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual elements of our games, including characters, environments, props, and various assets. Your artistic expertise will be vital in establishing the aesthetic identity of our projects, ensuring they captivate our audience and stand out in the competitive gaming landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create characters, environments, props, and UI elements that align with the game's narrative and visual objectives.
  • Produce high-quality art assets for marketing materials and in-game events to enhance community engagement.
  • Collaborate with game designers and fellow artists to ensure a unified and visually appealing game experience.
  • Contribute to the development of the game's artistic style, create style guides, and ensure consistency across all visual components.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions and art critiques to influence the creative direction of our projects.
  • Work within technical constraints to optimize art assets for integration into game engines.

Qualifications:

  • A robust portfolio showcasing 2D artwork, including background paintings, character designs, and prop illustrations.
  • Proficiency in digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint.
  • Familiarity with RPG and gacha game mechanics and their specific visual needs.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, composition, anatomy, and layout design.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborative teamwork.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for mobile game development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in 2D animation and/or visual effects.
  • Knowledge of animation principles.
  • Familiarity with Unity and other relevant software.
  • Experience with tools such as Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and animation software.
  • Background in mobile game projects.
  • Experience with pixel art and tools like Aseprite.
