The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the availability of products to meet customer needs and drive business growth. This position is responsible for leading a team of frontline warehouse employees to achieve safety and performance standards, while also developing and training capable frontline union and non-union employees.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of frontline warehouse employees to fulfill customer orders while ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
- Understand and achieve performance standards, including Dynamic Picking and Safety and Regulatory management.
- Train and coach frontline employees, setting expectations, providing feedback, and recognizing and rewarding good performance.
- Demonstrate and leverage knowledge of warehouse operations, including resource requirements, layout, route/bulk/transport loading, settlement, and Ministry of Transportation regulations.
- Work closely with Product Availability Manager and Sales Manager to align team agenda with Annual Operating Plan objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Bilingualism (English/French) required.
- Experience in consumer packaged goods or a related industry preferred.
- Demonstrated planning and organization skills.
- Demonstrated front-line supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Strong communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and influence management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to deliver results efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
- Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills.
