Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Therapist, Mental Health and Addictions to join our team at Homewood Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based therapy services to individuals with mental health and addiction issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify treatment needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-informed approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and DBT
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning
- Develop and present psycho-educational sessions to patients and families
- Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a recognized Social Sciences program with addiction-specific education
- Valid registration with the relevant college/governing body in Ontario, such as the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in group and individual counseling, preferably in a mental health and addiction setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality care and patient-centered practice
