Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at 8344795 CANADA INC. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and report any issues or defects to the maintenance team.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safe and secure transportation of cargo, including hazardous materials.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as complete all necessary documentation, such as bills of lading and driver logbooks.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and communicate effectively to resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a truck driver, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Certifications and Licenses: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Language: English or French
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week
