Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Toku Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation

Direct and supervise the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.

Inventory Management

Estimate and manage the inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.

Quality Control

Ensure that all food and service meet our quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to maintain the highest levels of quality.

Customer Service

Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and work to resolve any issues promptly and efficiently.

Administrative Tasks

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma required.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Language

English language proficiency required.

Work Hours

32 hours per week.
