Superintendent - Construction Management

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process on large complex projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Provide overall construction management, including design, budget, and schedule coordination with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Site Leadership: Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team's progress.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure construction compliance with design requirements and project construction schedule by supervising and coordinating site trades, other site management, field engineering, and construction activities.
  • Safety Program Implementation: Implement and maintain a safe work environment on the job site, adhering to safety and record-keeping requirements.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: A construction-related degree and 5 to 8 years of construction experience in a Superintendent role or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large commercial projects.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings.
  • Leadership and Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions, and lead a large team to successful completion.
  • Teamwork and Mentorship: Enjoy working in a team environment and providing mentorship and guidance to the site team.
  • Clearance: CISD Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
