Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Superintendent to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. As a key member of our construction operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion and profitability.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
    • Oversee the coordination of construction activities, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Site Management
    • Supervise and direct a team of construction professionals, including superintendents, foremen, and laborers.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality control measures, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients.
    • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement project execution plans.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • 15 years of progressive experience in field supervision, preferably in a construction management role.
    • Journeyman certificate or post-secondary diploma/engineering degree in a related discipline.
    • NCSO designation (IND) and Gold Seal certification required (CDN), certificate in negotiation or equivalent experience.
