Telesat, a leader in secure satellite communication solutions, is in search of a Configuration Control Coordinator / Specialist to enhance their innovative team. This position is ideal for individuals skilled in Configuration Control methodologies and who take pride in ensuring precise and prompt change management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the allocation of change document identifiers
  • Record and track changes while maintaining the status in the Lightspeed Change Log
  • Facilitate the evaluation of proposed changes with appropriate prioritization
  • Examine change-related data to guarantee adherence to established standards
  • Assist in the organization and execution of Configuration Control Boards
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to provide insights on Configuration Control practices
  • Engage in process enhancement initiatives for streamlined change control procedures
Document and Library Management Support:
  • Administer document identifiers and uphold the Lightspeed Document Library
  • Monitor and document the status of document development
  • Produce Release Notices as necessary
  • Support Program and Technical Reviews
  • Define and update processes and training materials for document management
Education & Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in Data Management and/or Configuration Management
  • Expertise in Configuration Management standards
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous
Decision Making & Supervision:
  • Play a significant role in influencing applications and infrastructure for the Lightspeed program
  • Engage with various teams to ensure successful project delivery
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based environment with potential for occasional international travel
