Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team on a casual/on-call basis. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning and minor tasks in and around the assigned facility
  • Operate custodial equipment, including automatic floor scrubbers and carpet extractors
  • Mix and apply cleaning chemicals, and store and secure equipment after use
  • Perform minor maintenance duties, such as replacing light fixtures and furniture glides
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning and maintenance goals
Requirements
  • Completion of high school up to and including Grade 10
  • Building Service Worker Certificate
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Fire Safety Course
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Building Service Worker (Division I, III, IV)
  • Previous experience in maintenance of commercial or school buildings
  • Basic computer skills, including email
