Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, the Facilities Operations Manager will oversee the performance of maintenance operations, ensuring the effective execution of projects and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the activities of field operations supervisors for all maintenance initiatives.
- Drive company objectives and guide the team towards the successful implementation of projects.
- Formulate action plans to rectify issues related to safety, callback rates, and technical assistance.
- Supervise Field Managers to ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
- Generate leads in the field and support service sales representatives in promoting upgrades and repairs.
- Suggest and outline modifications in maintenance service documentation, methodologies, processes, and delivery.
- Establish budgets for materials and labor in line with company guidelines and ensure maintenance and repairs are completed within those budgets.
- Conduct training in the field to foster a safe working environment.
- Execute field safety audits, job site inspections, and develop safety and logistics plans.
- Anticipate and schedule labor resources while maintaining customer quality assurance and enhancing efficiencies.
- Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with colleagues, field personnel, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience is required.
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage expectations and relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in a technical environment, particularly with Microsoft software.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and goal-oriented mindset with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the elevator industry or in leading field-level associates/technicians in a comparable sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with elevators, elevator service contracting, and elevator service estimating is an asset.
