About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Banking Professional to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Commercial Sales & Service team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and advisory support to our clients, helping them to achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive credit analysis, structuring, and pricing expertise to clients, ensuring that their financial needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of data, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
  • Identify and assess credit risks, making recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders to ensure that our clients' financial goals are achieved.
  • Develop and implement business plans, including relationship management strategies, to achieve customer retention objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, building trust and credibility with clients through responsive service and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, identifying emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement operational programs, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
Requirements
  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of business banking products, lending processes, and loan documentation, as well as supporting policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Strong experience with customer sales and service, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaboration and team skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess credit risks and develop tailored solutions.
  • Influence skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
