Loblaw is on the lookout for a meticulous and systematic individual to join our vibrant team in the capacity of Specialist in Asset Protection. In this role, you will collaborate closely with management to mitigate losses and foster awareness of asset protection across our retail locations. Your expertise in security and investigation will be instrumental in enhancing financial outcomes, curtailing losses, and boosting profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discourage, identify, and apprehend individuals involved in theft and fraud within retail environments.
  • Partner with fellow team members on investigations concerning theft rings at both provincial and national levels.
  • Engage closely with local law enforcement agencies.
  • Execute internal investigations, gather evidence, and present findings as required.
  • Spot opportunities to improve loss management strategies.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships within stores, educating colleagues on asset protection protocols.
  • Participate in store audits and community initiatives.
  • Be available to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Possession of a valid provincial security license.
  • Fundamental understanding of applicable laws, arrest powers, and surveillance technologies.
  • A professional demeanor coupled with an approachable attitude.
  • A strong sense of initiative and integrity.
