About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian Assistant to join our team at SM Services Alberta Ltd. As a Custodian Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to designated areas, taking care to avoid damage or injury.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the appearance and integrity of our facilities.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to create a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate your ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our facilities.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive tasks will be a regular part of this role, requiring attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling will be necessary to perform tasks such as cleaning and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Will train on the job to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your duties.
