Based in Alberta or British Columbia, under the responsibility of the Business Development Manager (BDM), the position holder will provide strategic leadership to the assigned product lines (Manufactured Stone Veneer Systems (MSVS) and Pedestals) and is responsible for developing and executing product strategy working closely with Product Line Managers (PLM), Marketing and the Sales team in order to achieve sales targets. Position will encompass technical product training along with support to the sales team. Main tasks and responsibilities of the position: Implements strategic product promotion sales plans to realize corporate goals Develops strong knowledge of market, industry and customer needs Drives customer engagement that delivers markets insights for communication to the BDM in order to establish regional pricing strategies and program development Develops and leads, with technical service representatives, MAPEI based installation training programs regionally in support of sales activity Conducts sales presentations to key clients and prospective customers in coordination with the sales team Is responsible to introduce all new products and include effective launch strategies, training functions. Meets with key clients (Architects, Spec Writers, Designers, End Users and Contractors), assisting sales representatives. Prospects and develops new clients concerning market penetration and sales opportunities in the region Prepares and presents monthly sales reports to BDM showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Supports PLM initiatives in product development: including market need based recommendations, competitive product benchmarking and field testing Works with MAPEI PLM in the development of new innovative products and systems solutions for the product line assigned to him/her Actively participates in Local and Regional Trade Associations Participates in MAPEI tradeshows to demonstrate product, showcase features and benefits to promote MAPEI brand awareness Trains and develops personnel to ensure a quality organization that can deliver goals and objectives Does any other related tasks Education: Bachelor of Art or Science Years of experience: 5-7 years of related sales experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Extensive knowledge of stone masonry veneer systems/landscape pavers Experience in masonry, cultured stone and exterior pedestal paver systems Is able to do product training at a professional level (including hands-on demonstrations) Installation and/or estimating / project management experience is mandatory Valid driver's licence holder and passport Languages Spoken and Written : English (French is an asset) Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook Capacity to challenge situation or people Analytical capacity and synthesizing mind Time and priority management Sense of planning and organization Very good communication and negotiation skills
