Tetra Tech is adding an Intermediate Water Resource Engineer to our Water Resources and Infrastructure team based in Winnipeg, MB.

Your Role:

1. Manage and deliver water resources and municipal engineering projects. Using internal junior staff and the support of our in-house experts, manage the delivery of multidisciplinary assignments.
2. Conduct engineering calculations, support the development of design plans, and perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for stormwater management, flood control, wastewater treatment, and water supply projects.
3. Collect and analyze relevant data, such as rainfall patterns, flow rates, and water quality data, to support engineering designs and evaluations.
4. Conduct site visits and field investigations to assess existing infrastructure, identify potential issues, and gather necessary data for project development.
5. Assist in the preparation of permit applications and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations pertaining to water resources and municipal engineering projects.
6. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings to communicate design plans and project findings effectively.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, geotechnical engineers, and clients, to ensure project objectives are met.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and advancements in water resources and municipal engineering through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
9. Willing to manage the construction activities and assist clients in implementing our design plans.
10. Prepare proposals and deal directly with clients in defining project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
11. Manage municipal design and construction projects.
12. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
13. Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
14. Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
15. Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
2. Over 2 years of progressive relevant engineering experience is essential.
3. Experience or aptitude for proposal writing, client development, and working in a team setting.
4. Registered P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) is a plus.
5. Registered or eligible to register immediately as an Engineer in Training with EGBC.
6. Familiarity with MMCD is a plus.
7. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD.
8. Familiar with water resources engineering principles, stormwater management practices, and municipal infrastructure systems.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
11. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
