The Senior Construction Management Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects within the Water Related Capital Program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Oversight:
  • Reviewing and approving construction contract documents
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Mentoring and guiding junior staff to achieve their full potential
  • Fostering a collaborative environment with external partners and stakeholders
  • Representing the department at various meetings and events

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer registration or eligibility for registration with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel throughout the province by ground or air transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and rough terrain environments
  • Bachelor-level degree in Civil Engineering
  • Extensive experience in water-related infrastructure engineering including planning, preservation, design, and construction
