The Senior Construction Management Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects within the Water Related Capital Program. Key responsibilities include:
- Project Oversight:
- Reviewing and approving construction contract documents
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Mentoring and guiding junior staff to achieve their full potential
- Fostering a collaborative environment with external partners and stakeholders
- Representing the department at various meetings and events
Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer registration or eligibility for registration with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work extended hours and travel throughout the province by ground or air transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and rough terrain environments
- Bachelor-level degree in Civil Engineering
- Extensive experience in water-related infrastructure engineering including planning, preservation, design, and construction
