We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Toronto office:

Essential Functions:

- Responsible for publishing new precedents and KM resources, working closely with the Knowledge Management Lawyers to ensure content is published in an accurate and timely manner.
- Contribute to the development, and lead the execution of, a KM governance model and supporting plans to ensure consistency and clarity across all KM content.
- Assist with the upkeep of various Corporate How Do I? pages and other Knowledge pages on BenNet.
- Takes an active role in the team to maintain expertise in key KM tools and resources.
- Be the KM expert for key systems and contribute to the ongoing design, development and testing of our platforms ensuring that they are meeting the needs of contributors.
- Conduct first-level technology troubleshooting for our knowledge-based systems and tools and act as liaison between KM and IT.
- Identify opportunities for new technologies, support processes and protocols for our knowledge-based systems and tools.
- Conduct regular analysis, benchmarking and research for our Knowledge Bank and Insight Search to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Responsible for updating and coordinating the training materials and protocols for the Knowledge Bank and Insight Search system.
- Provides administrative support to KM lawyers including but not limited to: expense management, filing, travel and meeting bookings, taking minutes and managing departmental documentation.

Qualifications:

- A strong background in a corporate legal practice, preferably at a large law firm and includes knowledge of the closing process in corporate transactions.
- Strong technical aptitude and a natural problem-solver for on-the-spot troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and superior organization skills.
- Actively enjoys using and exploring new and innovative technologies to find efficiencies and improve the value in our workflows.
- Knowledge of formatting and schemes in Word is a must to ensure model documents are formatted to firm standard.
- Knowledge of Aderant or other time/billing platforms in legal.
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn and share those learnings.
- Knowledge of legal and technical procedures in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to continuously improve and learn from others.
- Service-oriented and a willingness to help – a team-oriented approach.
- Enjoy executing on ideas to create positive impact.
- Ability to be self-directed and to take the initiative.
