Customer Service Representative (Bilingual English/French)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive and process sales orders from customers via telephone, email, and/or fax.
2. Collaborate with the Reno Lighting team to ensure customer satisfaction by eliminating errors and addressing customer needs (e.g., price sheets, credits/rebills).
3. Respond to customer inquiries with accurate and detailed information.
4. Accurately input orders and provide updates to clients (e.g., backorders, split orders, timed deliveries).
5. Work closely within a team structure, supporting Outside Account Managers and the Warehouse team.
Transactions:
1. Efficiently manage customer orders using internal systems and customer purchase orders.
2. Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience, such as upselling and promoting specialized services.
3. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by working closely with the sales and projects teams.
4. Identify additional customer needs and communicate opportunities to relevant internal teams.
5. Address customer complaints by providing timely solutions and alternatives, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
6. Leverage internal resources to effectively solve problems.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Maintain knowledge of product availability (e.g., packaging, lead times, inventory).
2. Request stock transfers and order shipments as necessary.
3. Complete administrative tasks and special projects assigned by the Customer Service Manager.
Technical Competencies:
1. Post-secondary education, such as a College Diploma in Business or equivalent, is preferred.
2. 1-3 years of experience in customer service and/or business administration.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of QuickBooks or sales processing software is an asset.
4. Previous experience in LED lighting, electrical wholesale, or a related field is an asset.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and French are required.
6. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
